This dutch painting of the XVIIth century has been bought as a copy of the XIXth century. It is a oil painting on oak panel.

The painting came for restoration in three parts.

During restoration: After gluing, cleaning consisted in taking off two layers of overpaint. 

After restoration: the date of the painting and the age of the person have been re-discovered :  " fecit anno 1645, aetatis 65"
